646f9e108c Former inmate Raymond Lembecke has just been released from prison, and, having after met up with his girlfriend, Abby, plans a drug sale to the mafia boss, Tony Vaago, in which they have no idea the drugs belonged to him. After the steal goes wrong, they find themselves fleeing authorities en route to Vaago to make the sale. When they are informed of their situation, the sale goes horribly wrong and they are once again forced to flee, eventually winding up in the middle of a remote New Mexico town, Raymond's brothers house. Raymond Lembecke, who was just freed from prison, meets his girlfriend Addy again and plans a robbery of a drug dealer together with Marcus and Curtis. Everything goes awfully wrong and they run out of the city, kidnapping middle-class couple Gordon and Donna in the process. They come to a small New Mexico town, where they try to give the stolen drugs to powerful mob boss Tony Vago and live in the house of former Raymond's cellmate Wayne. I can't believe people actually liked this movie for the plot.<br/><br/>The story is ridiculous, especially the ending where every one armed person in New Mexico happens to converge on the same spot at exactly the same time. And keeping a pair of hostages, but basically letting them roam free around the Winebago at night? Come on!<br/><br/>The only redeeming factor is SOME of the acting. Kiefer Sutherland is convincing as a hotheaded, sadistic stick-up man, a lot more convincing than his "mad doctor" role in Dark City. The guy that plays Ray, the leader of the gang, is pretty good, too.<br/><br/>But Martin Sheen's "Sir" character is completely laughable. He's supposed to be some kind of "Angel of Death," who strikes fear into anyone who dares look in his eyes, but comes across as someone who has been lobotomized. I blame the dialogue for creating this impression, especially the scene where he is introduced to the mafia circle of leaders and the final shootout scene as well. I thought this movie was great! Great cast, great plot line, great everything. Kiefer Southerland and Mykelti Williamson were outstanding as the outlaws. Vincent Gallo was pretty good too. I thought this movie was one of my 10 favorites. It was sorta like an actiony black-comedy. Great movie.<br/><br/>Notice how I used "great" a lot.
